3rd Chemo & Good news

Thursday was my 3rd chemo. My friend Marilyn was my driver. It was an emotional day. I started the day off by working on paying some medical bills. Bad idea before treatment. It put me in a bad mood. I hate dealing with insurance companies. I wore a warm hat to chemo but forgot to take a lighter one to wear in the building. My head was so hot that I finally just took the hat off. I mentioned how hot I was. She said her hands were cold so I asked her to put them on my head. It felt so good to cool off. A sweet lady sitting across from us said her hands were cold also. We all just laughed.

My appointment with Dr Gray went well. My red and white blood cell counts are down a little but are still within a normal range. The nurse was excited that I haven't lost any weight. I wouldn't mind if I had. I guess everyone is feeding us too well.

The chemo room was very busy. There were 6 people already hooked up when we got there. There wasn't even an extra chair for Marilyn. Luckily on of the other ladies there finished up with her chemo just as the nurse was getting ready for me. I started to read the messages on my blanket. I cried when I read the two from my Mom and Dad. I miss them.

After chemo we stopped and picked up lunch then headed for home. Marilyn left at about 2:30. The kids were home shortly after 3:00.

We got some really good news on Friday. My BRCA genetic test came back negative. That means that my cancer is not genetic so my mom, sisters, nieces, Mariah, and any other relatives do not have to worry about having the same gene. They also don't have to be tested. That is really good news.

Right now I am feeling good. I hope it lasts.

It was so good to see you at Artic Circle the other day! It was a fluke I ended up there but I truly know now it was a blessing! I will keep you in my prayers!
