Today has been very frustrating. I have just spent the last 5 1/2 hours trying to find a specialist, taking to my doctors office which has to actually schedule any appointments, request any tests, etc, talking to the Radiologist, arranging to pick up the mammograms & ultrasound from Davis to take to Ogden Regional for the MRI on Thursday, 1/24/08.
My doctor suggested 3 specialists. Two don't take my insurance. The 3rd is out of town. I have an appointment with him on 1/31/08. I also made an appointment with a partner of his for this Friday, 1/25/08.
The Radiologist also called today to give me my results. She recommended that I have the MRI done before my appointment so the doctor will already have the results available to him. She also recommended that they MRI both breasts since they previously found a small lump in the right breast that they were just going to check again in 6 months. Since they know I have cancer in the left breast they need to check the right one now also instead of waiting. The MRI results should be to Dr. Jordan for my appointment on Friday. For right now I guess we just have to wait until Friday to find out more.
