Scheduled New Chemo

I saw Dr. Rosenthal yesterday for my next check up. I carpooled with my Friend Eileen and her daughter Sara. We both had doctors appointments in Salt Lake so we carpooled to save gas. That made for a long day. We left at 10:00 a.m. and returned at 3:30 p.m. We went to Sara's appointment first, grabbed a quick lunch then headed to my appointment with Dr. Rosenthal before we headed home.

Dr. Rosenthal said I am healing fine and that I can start the new chemo 4 weeks after my surgery which is July 30th. I went ahead and scheduled it for Thursday, July 31st. I will meet with Dr. Gray first, take a break for lunch, then return for chemo around 1:00 in the afternoon. I won't know much more until then. I am going to make the most of the next two weeks until then. I will let you know if anything changes before then.

I had to leave again at 5:15 to go to Tyler's play off game. They weren't playing very well so they lost the game. The teams from Roy start their season later than the other cities. The other cities are almost finished with their seasons when we are just starting. That gives them a lot longer to practice. I really noticed the difference yesterday. The other team was playing a lot better together. For some reason our coach didn't have Tyler play catcher at all. He hasn't even practiced playing in the outfield this year so he was a little disappointed and had a hard time paying attention out there. I am sad that they lost but kind of glad the season is over because it is hard to sit out in the heat.
